Literary meetings

Calami 2010

For the first edition of Calami, the Literary Encounters of Dar Raha Zagora, Christina Mirjol and Anne Marsella have participated into exchanges and directed workshops from November 1st to 5th.

The opening of the Encounters was honoured by the presence of many local personalities, M. the Pacha of Zagora, representing M. the Governor of the Province, MM. the Caïds and Moqqqadem of Zagora City, M. The Regional Director of Culture, MM. the Directors of Zagora Primary and Secondary Schools and Colleges, and many neighbours and friends.

In the framework of those Encounters, deep and cross-cutting exchanges have happened between our guests, teachers and professors of Zagora. These exchanges focused on writing strategies and « spoken language », and the choices of a writing tongue in multilingual situations. The situation in Morocco was assessed in that regard. The Encounters were also an opportunity for many Zagora pupils to participate in workshops directed by our guests, in French and English writing.

The texts of the conferences given by Christina Mirjol and Anne Marsella on November 4th at the Zagora “Maison de la Culture” are accessible online (in French)
