Walks, visits and excursions : Tailor-made itineraries

We suggest tailor-made thematic itineraries of meetings and discoveries,
visits and hikes, around :

or associating these themes according to your wishes :

* Experience walking or riding a camel through the palm grove, the moutain and the desert, for a day, a night or as many days and nights as you wish, with experienced cameleers who know how to share with you, according to your desire, their passion for the desert and nomadism.

Qsar of Amzru (18th)

* Discover a country doted with rich history and culture, thanks to a commented visit of the qsar (fortified village) of Amezrou (18th c.), to a tour of the mountain Zagora (971 m) with its pre-historical tumuli and the ruins of the Almoravide citadel (11th c.), to circuits in the palm grove with the Dar Sultan, the zaouïa and marabous of the 16th century, the holy town of Tamgrout, that was a famous centre of Soufi mysticism, library and university, etc..

* Discover the traditional craft know-how – cooking, poetry, basketry, recycling of pneumatics and plastics, etc, at the souq (the biweekly market) and at artisans’ workshops – appreciate the creations of local artists, painters, sculptors, musicians…

If you wish to further explore the valley, we can advice you on itineraries and possibilities. (You’ve got to know that you cannot rent a car in Zagora but you must do it from Warzazat, Marrakech, Agadir or Casablanca.)

You can drive north and south of Zagora to visit the palm grove and its multiple qsour, zaouïa and kasbah, at Tamgrout, Beni Sbih, M’hamid, or Beni Zouli, Tinzulin, Agdz...

Remarkable rocks painting and carving sites are scattered at the bottom of the mountains : to discover them, you’ll need a guide and a all-roads vehicle – but we recommend… the dromedary !

The same applies to who wants to explore the surrounding moutains : Djebel Beni, Djebel Bani, Djebel Saghro...
